Ministry built on grass roots love and relationships
EAZM was founded in 2008 after a period of violence in Kenya that shook the economy and disrupted normal life. Dr. Perry Smith of Greenville, Texas met Onesmus Mwanzia and learned of his call as a pastor and Esther’s vision for orphan children.
Over time, Smith determined he would be a channel of funds for the widows and orphans of Kenya along with ministering to small groups that were raised up through the ministry of Omesmus. Smith passed away suddenly in 2015 leaving behind a heritage of ministry in Kenya that continues today through his nephew, Austin Smith.
In 2016, the ministry refocused its efforts to building a sustainable structure for its programming in order to better support the long-term future of the families and children involved in the program. Its main work continues to focus on the nurturing of families and children in Kenya.
